Trading is the heart of Trade Squishy Dumplings. The whole game is built around the idea that some dumplings are far rarer than others, and the trading board is where you turn the duplicates you do not want into the rare pulls you do. This hub links the four pillars of smart trading: how the mechanic works, what items are worth, how to read the board, and how to stay safe.
The four parts of trading
Master these four pages and you will trade with confidence:
- How to Trade — the exact button-by-button process for completing a trade on the board.
- Value List — a community-style ranking of dumplings by rarity and demand so you can judge any offer.
- Trading Boards — how to find an active board, read your partner’s offer and set up your own.
- Scam Protection — the tricks scammers use and how to shut every one of them down.
Why trading matters more than luck
In many collecting games, your progress is capped by random luck. Trade Squishy Dumplings is different because the player economy gives you a second engine. Even if your pulls are unlucky, you can still climb the rarity ladder by trading well. A player who understands value can take a pile of common dumplings, trade up step by step, and end with a rare one that pure luck might never have given them.
That is why we treat trading as a skill, not a gamble. The skill has three layers: knowing what things are worth, communicating a clear offer on the board, and protecting yourself from manipulation. Get all three right and every session moves your collection forward.
How the trading board works in brief
The mechanic, straight from the game itself, is refreshingly simple:
- Stand on a trading board with another player.
- Both players drop the items they want to trade.
- Use the plus (➕) button to request more items if the offer is not enough.
- Both players move onto the check (✅) button at the same time to accept.
- Move onto the cross (❌) button to cancel.
Because both sides must confirm, no one can take your items without your agreement. The full walkthrough, including what to watch for at each step, is in how to trade.
Judging value before you accept
The single most important habit in trading is checking value before you confirm. New players lose their best dumplings by accepting offers that look generous but are not. Our value list ranks dumplings using the rarities ladder and current demand, so you can quickly tell whether an offer is a win, a fair swap or a loss.
Pay special attention to mutations. A mutated version of a dumpling is much rarer than its normal form and should never be traded as if it were ordinary. If you are not sure what you are holding, check it against the dumpling list before it goes on the board.
Trading safely
The board itself is safe, but scammers target the human side of trading. They rush you, fake a higher-value item, or promise to “add the rest after” you confirm. None of these work if you follow one rule: only judge the trade by what is actually in the window when you confirm. Our scam protection guide breaks down every common trick and the exact counter for each.
